Staff Accountant Job Description

This role involves day-to-day and month-end accounting processes, including commission calculations. The Staff Accountant will assist operations management as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate commission payouts monthly.
  • Calculate quarterly commissions.
  • Calculate annual or quarterly commission true-ups.
  • Ensure all sales reps have signed commission plans.
  • Assist with some journal entries.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Prepare account reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel including Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team under tight deadlines and changing directives.
  • No travel required.
  • This is a remote position.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Two years general ledger or equivalent accounting experience.
Compensation$50,000-$55,000
