About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Lead to join our Quality Assurance team at Saks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and quality control.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the quality and timeliness of resolution to issues related to inbound receipts, returns, and transfers, as well as customer service-related communications.
  • Generate QA reports and make recommendations to optimize accuracy and quality processes, reducing defects and errors.
  • Identify, develop, and implement department improvements to drive operational successes.
  • Monitor departmental performance and oversee day-to-day operations to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines.
  • Understand and communicate departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular performance reviews with employees.
  • Audit and research results in various Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
  • Investigate and resolve defective items, reporting trends to management.
  • Ensure timely processing of Mark Out of Stock/RTVs/Sell-Off/Store-to-Store transfers related to Quality Control.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries or website variances.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
  • Utilize quality systems such as JIRA, Product Information Management (PIM), and SynQ on a daily basis.
  • Manage and respond to administrative tasks, including emails and Slack messages.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain inventory control areas, including supplies and housekeeping.
  • Perform scheduled inventory audits according to standard operating procedures.
  • Identify and report non-inventory conforming units to leadership.

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a retail, wholesale, or direct-to-consumer inventory control function, preferably in an automated environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a neat and organized workspace.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively during the interview process.
