Job DescriptionAs a detail-oriented Journeyman/Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for the safe construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures.
You will interpret architectural blueprints and ensure the safety and quality of the final product.
A successful candidate should show exceptional attention to detail and have excellent analytical thinking abilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, diagrams, and plans.
- Determining the type and amount of material required for each project.
- Transporting materials and equipment to work sites.
- Constructing wooden structures such as concrete forms, frameworks, scaffolding, furniture, and similar elements.
- Installing wooden structures such as frames, stairways, rafters, furniture, and partitions.
- Knowledge of basic rafters, windows and doors, layout and production framing, layout stairs and railings, fastening schedule, interior trim, built ins and cabinetry.
- Inspecting the integrity of structures upon their installation.
- Attentive to details and committed to highest quality.
- Have or pursue CSL certification.
- Monitoring inventory and replenishing supplies, as needed.
- Complying with all applicable safety regulations.
- Training and managing apprentices and subordinates.
- Working independently without extensive instruction.
- Owning and using a full set of tools.
- Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Carpentry apprenticeship program completion.
- CSL preferred but not required.
- At least 3-5 years' experience as a carpenter.
- Valid driver's license and own transportation.
- Good math and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding critical thinking skills.
- Capable of working in harsh weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and rigging.
Estimated Annual Salary: $80,000 - $120,000
