Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Alphanumeric is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Pooler, GA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical components of machinery, including engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical systems, machine controls, and other production equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including PMs, to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with small projects as a team member, installer, and fabricator, and participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Comply with company, federal, state, and local health and safety standards, and participate in safety training and initiatives.
  • Design and install control circuits with simple components, and understand principles of power systems, including conductors, circuit protection, transformers, motors, power supplies, and generators.
  • Understand basic principles of PLC, HMI, PCNC, and SCADA, and other control systems, and read and understand mechanical drawings with common symbols.
  • Diagnose and install basic mechanical components, including pumps, valves, regulators, filters, and pulleys, and specify, configure, and install direct replacement mechanical components.
  • Perform other duties as required, including participating in safety initiatives, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and communicating effectively with subordinates and management.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or at least three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
