Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Atrium Health in University City. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the effective delivery of respiratory therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver oxygen therapy and ventilator support to patients, ensuring accurate and timely administration of treatments.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures, such as blood gas analysis, to inform patient care decisions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Document patient care activities and outcomes, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to patients with varying respiratory conditions. The successful candidate will be able to lift and move patients, as well as navigate crowded working conditions.
