Assembly Specialist

We're a leading manufacturer of high-quality products, and we're looking for a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team. As an Assembly Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our panel production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment to laminate fabric to various substrates
- Finish panel skins with back-wrapping operations
- Assemble components into finished products
- Pack finished products for shipment and label for shipment
- Keep accurate records of jobs performed
- Enter product information into our computerized inventory system
- Transport stock to and from work areas
- Mark job loads with order numbers
- Inspect produced parts for quality and quantity
- Requisition supplies as needed
- Work from verbal or written instructions
- May be required to pack units for shipment
- Plan jobs to be most efficient
- Participate in standard job rotations
- Perform all duties according to safety policies and procedures
- Perform all 5S housekeeping tasks in appropriate areas
- Work to ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition at all times
- Complete all regularly scheduled 5S checks and immediately alert team members and team coordinators of all unsafe work conditions
- Participate as a member of the Manufacturing Team
- Participate in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies
- Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members
- Attend appropriate team meetings
- Accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas of lack of cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues affecting cohesiveness
- Actively look for ways and reinforce actions needed to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand up to 100% of the time
- Push and pull up to 1500 pounds on wheels
Required Skills:
Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects under minimal supervision and meet required deadlines
Knoll Operating Systems Principles and Objectives: Knows all Knoll established operating systems (e.g. quality, safety, environmental). Understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas
Required Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience which demonstrates performance competency
- 1 year of manufacturing assembly or related experience
