Staff Nurse

As a Staff Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality patient care and services to patients and families. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care and services to patients and families
- Delegate nursing tasks to nursing assistive personnel and provide direction to licensed practical nurses (LPNs)
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver care and perform tasks requiring nursing knowledge, judgment, and skills
- Administer medications and teach LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care
- Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care and take charge duties as assigned
- Function as a primary nurse/total patient caregiver and serve as a resource nurse and preceptor
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire
- One year of experience in the specialty area or completion of a formal course in the specialty area within a designated period of time after hire
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- Minimum one year of experience in the specialty area or completion of a formal course in the specialty area
- Coursework in basic EKG
