About the Role

This position involves working under close supervision to provide direct patient care and conduct therapeutic group sessions under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and documentation, as well as obtain vital signs and collect laboratory specimens from assigned patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation, and report any abnormal findings to the RN.
  • Collect laboratory specimens, such as urine samples or blood draws, as directed by RN staff.
  • Transport patients within the hospital or deliver medical items, using the pneumatic tube system when necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and two years of experience in a related field or area is preferred.
