The Job

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team on the General Medicine/Pulmonary unit. This is a full-time night shift position with every third weekend rotation. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in pediatrics. Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming families to the ambulatory clinic area and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Assisting with taking and documenting vital signs, medical information, point-of-care testing, medical procedures, and intra-hospital transport
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by stocking medical equipment, disposing of medical waste, and keeping patient rooms tidy
  • Participating in patient rounds and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an accredited CNA program
  • Current certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois, active/good standing
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
  • One year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in pediatrics

$60,000 - $80,000 per year
