Job Summary

This role will work closely with Critical Home Repair applicants and approved CHR Partner Families from the initial inquiry to the completion of the Critical Home Repair program. The primary responsibilities include informing, processing, qualifying, managing, and supporting Critical Home Repair families. This position oversees and manages the CHR applicant and Partner Family experience in an effort to fulfill Habitat Charlotte Region's mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Home Repair Case Manager. As a key member of our Critical Home Repair team, you will be responsible for evaluating and determining program eligibility for Critical Home Repair applications throughout Habitat Charlotte Region's service area. This entails requesting and reviewing supporting documents, informing applicants of program policies/standards, and effectively communicating with applicants where necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess strong empathy and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups, including Partner Families, Staff, and Volunteers. A valid Driver's License with a personal vehicle that meets Habitat Charlotte Region's insurance requirements is also required. Additionally, proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data entry, and data analysis is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and process Critical Home Repair applications throughout Habitat Charlotte Region's service area
- Determine program eligibility and inform applicants of program policies/standards
- Provide quality case management to approved CHR Partner Families by meeting with them, educating, and managing their program requirements
- Assist with general CHR inquiries and application intake by coordinating and conducting in-person and phone applications as necessary
- Collaborate closely with the Critical Home Repair Family Support team to ensure smooth workflow and identify areas to promote positive and quality Partner Family experiences
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all applications and CHR Partner Family data in Homekeeper/Salesforce & Microsoft platforms
