About the Role
  • As an Electrical Diagnostic Specialist, you will be responsible for performing electrical diagnostics on our transit bus line in the Chicago area.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical buses and chargers using advanced computer diagnostics and basic mechanical tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as an Electrical Diagnostic Technician in the field for electrical transit buses
  • Be the local subject matter expert in vehicle and charger systems and subsystems
  • Support the launch of new buses, charging stations, and Regional Field Service Representatives
  • Manage vendors when working on customer equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings and wiring schematics
  • Order parts, tools, and supplies as needed
  • Complete retrofit campaigns
  • Ensure proper submission of expense reports
  • Train customers and partners on safe operation and best technical practices on all PhoenixEV products
  • Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical buses and chargers
Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience in Electrical Diagnostics
  • Knowledge about vehicle CAN systems and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge of bus, automotive, and/or vehicle systems
  • Moderate to expert user in MS Office applications
  • Hands-on experience in either electrical, mechanical, or other related field service experience; experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Up to 50% travel time to various customer sites throughout the Chicago area over time
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
