Job Description

Lane Community College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach apprenticeship courses in the field of electrical trades. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in electrical theory, national electrical code, and motors and motor controls.

The instructor will be responsible for providing quality instruction in a variety of delivery methods, including traditional lectures, online presentations, and hands-on lab work. The instructor will also be expected to develop and revise course content and materials, as well as assess student learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student success and will be able to adapt to the needs of a diverse student population. The instructor will also be expected to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff to ensure that students receive a high-quality education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality instruction in electrical apprenticeship courses
  • Develop and revise course content and materials
  • Assess student learning outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty and staff to ensure student success

Requirements:

  • Associate of Applied Science or Oregon Journeyman License in electrical trades
  • Two years of experience in electrical trades
  • Strong teaching and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Construction Industry
  • Demonstrable experience in electrical theory, national electrical code, and motors and motor controls
