Our board-certified physicians have successfully completed over 7,000+ clinical trials, consistently meeting sponsor expectations for integrity, timeliness, subject enrollment, human protection, and accurate data delivery.

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Medical Director for Gastroenterology Clinical Trials at our Dallas, TX location. This part-time contract position requires 8 hours of on-site work per week. A preferred specialty is Gastroenterology/Hepatology.

About the Role

This highly skilled Medical Director will provide clinical mentorship and leadership for clinical development and clinical trials within our organization. You will be responsible for assessing and following the safety of clinical trial participants and collaborating with the team on all aspects of clinical and scientific input and safety evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise into the conduct of clinical trials
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external medical professionals and local opinion leaders
  • Closely collaborate with colleagues in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement
  • Lead and oversee a team of researchers and clinical staff involved in clinical trials
  • Ensure successful execution of research protocols according to FDA regulations and GCP guidelines
  • Evaluate study volunteer eligibility for clinical trials
  • Perform physical exams and assessments as required per research protocols
  • Complete industry-required training
  • Assess study patient health through interviews and physical examinations
  • Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • 10 years' post-training experience as a physician in gastroenterology
  • A current license to practice medicine in the state of hire with no history of license suspension or debarment
  • Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and biopharmaceutical sponsors
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong leadership qualities
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
