Job Summary

The St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Seasonal Trauma ICU Registered Nurse. As a key member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

About the Job

We offer an estimated $85,000 per year salary for this role, based on experience and qualifications. This is a seasonal position that requires a commitment of 72 hours per pay period and four weekend shifts every four weeks. You will also be required to work two holiday shifts if they fall during your assignment.

About the Role

As a Seasonal Trauma ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing individualized plans of care, implementing and evaluating treatment strategies, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will also provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments, administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure seamless care transitions.

To succeed in this role, you will require one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting and a strong understanding of critical care and trauma nursing principles. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred, along with Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within one year of hire. Critical Care Registered Nurse certification and Certified Emergency Nurse certification are also desirable.
