Job Title: Youth Pastor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as our Youth Pastor at Cornerstone Church of LincolnWay. As a Youth Pastor, you will play a vital role in fostering the spiritual, social, and emotional growth of our youth community.

Responsibilities:
  1. Spiritual Leadership:
    • Develop and lead engaging youth programs that encompass worship, teaching, and discipleship.
    • Provide sound biblical teaching relevant to the challenges faced by today's youth.
  2. Pastoral Care:
    • Build meaningful relationships with youth through mentorship and counseling.
    • Create a supportive environment for youth to share and explore their faith.
  3. Event Planning:
    • Organize and oversee youth events, including weekly meetings, retreats, and mission trips.
    • Plan and execute special programs during school breaks and integrate youth activities with broader church initiatives.
  4. Team Building:
    • Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist in youth ministry activities.
    • Foster a sense of community and teamwork among youth and volunteers.
  5. Communication:
    • Regularly communicate with parents to keep them informed about the youth program, events, and the spiritual development of their children.
    • Maintain a strong online presence to engage with the youth community through various platforms.
  6. Community Outreach:
    • Implement strategies to connect with and impact unchurched youth in the community.
    • Collaborate with local schools and organizations to create positive partnerships.
  7. Leadership Development:
    • Identify and nurture leadership potential within the youth group.
    • Establish a discipleship training program for youth leaders.

Qualifications:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to believer's baptism.
  • Demonstrated integrity, passion for God, and a solid grasp of biblical truth.
  • Agreement with the doctrinal statement, practices, and core values of our church.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage change with gentleness and handle conflict effectively.
  • Engaging communication style suitable for connecting with both youth and adults.
  • Previous experience in youth ministry is preferred.
  • A willingness to work full-time with dedicated daily time for ministry activities.
  • Continuous commitment to personal education through study, reading, and attendance at conferences.
