News Reporter Opportunity

Are you passionate about storytelling and delivering accurate, timely, and engaging news content? As a News Reporter at Sinclair Broadcast Group, you'll have the chance to work alongside seasoned journalists and gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of news reporting. You'll be working primarily with the digital team, assisting in research, conducting interviews, and witnessing the behind-the-scenes workings of a newsroom.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation of compelling news stories
  • Conduct research and interviews
  • Work with reporters, anchors, producers, editors, and photographers
  • Receive training on various topics, including how to produce a news segment from the control room

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or recent graduate
  • At least in sophomore year of an accredited college/university
  • U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Willing to work approximately 15 hours a week for 10 weeks
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work from our Portland, OR location
