Job Summary

The Back of House Manager/Sous Chef role at Shocco is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation, storage, and cleanliness.

This position requires a self-motivated and willing individual who can work effectively in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee kitchen operations to ensure timely meal production and high-quality food service
  • Receive and manage inventory to maintain efficient food storage and rotation
  • Attend weekly meetings with the food service leadership team to discuss operational challenges and implement solutions
  • Train and mentor department staff on assignments and tasks
  • Monitor food storage and suggest improvements to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Manage day-to-day operations and provide direction to staff
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 1 year food service experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for up to 12 hours a day
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
