Job Title: Pediatric Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Mental Health Specialist to join our onsite team at Intermountain Deaconess Children's Services. This individual plays a crucial role in our multidisciplinary approach to pediatric care, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to provide comprehensive treatment and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for children.
  • Provide medication management and support as part of the overall treatment approach.
  • Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate and support families and caregivers on treatment plans and health maintenance.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Nursing with specialization as an APRN or licensed psychiatric MD.
  • Current licensure and certification in the state of practice.
  • Experience in pediatric care and/or child development preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build therapeutic relationships.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and family-centered care.
