Customer Service Representative

The Member Experience Representative will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and non-members of the credit union. This role involves assisting with various administrative and financial transactions, processing routine banking transactions, and recommending products and services based on the member's financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet members in a professional and courteous manner, assist with all issues, questions, and requests.
- Transaction Processing: Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cashiers' checks, money orders, and loan payments in person, by telephone, or mail.
- Transaction Verification: Balance and verify transactions and cash totals on a daily basis.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the complete line of products and services and offer appropriate products and services to members and potential members.
- Operational Tasks: Opens and closes computer terminal accounts daily, examines documents for endorsement and negotiability, detects and resolves discrepancies promptly, and performs drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1+ years' cash handling experience. Prior banking/credit union experience preferred.
- Mathematical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate 10-key series, proficient in Microsoft computer applications.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Adaptability: Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a consistently changing environment.
- Work Environment: Stationary work, often requiring standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Equipment Operation: Operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Visual Recognition: Visually recognize, reconcile, and verify numerical details for accuracy.
- Physical Demands: Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to access and navigate facility with reasonable accommodations. Lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items.
