Delivering advanced patient care and responding to emergency situations is at the core of this role. As an EMT Specialist, you will utilize your skills in medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide compassionate and high-quality service.
This position requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their loved ones, providing information and assurance about the care being given. You will also work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel to manage scene operations and provide leadership when necessary.
In addition to your technical skills, you will participate in community programs to maintain a positive image and establish strong relationships with local communities.
To be successful in this role, you must have a California Paramedic License, a valid driver's license, and certifications in CPR and ACLS. Experience in healthcare is preferred, but not required.
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $27.14 to $51.08 per hour, depending on experience. This rate applies to 12-hour shifts and averages 20-49 hours per week. The position is bonus eligible.
