We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Gastroenterology of the Rockies. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $20-$25 per hour. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a patient advocate to ensure optimum patient satisfaction with the experience and care they receive.
  • Room patients in a timely and accurate manner, following procedures set forth by the organization.
  • Interact with and assist providers in completing each patient interaction, documenting any event that involves patient dissatisfaction.
  • Contact patients to provide test results or other appropriate information.
  • Educate patients about GI-specific conditions, tests, and medications using clear and concise language.
  • Document all patient interactions in a timely and accurate manner, verifying that all documentation is complete and accurately reflects the situation and care provided.
  • Schedule patients for appointments and/or procedures, coordinating with all relevant departments and outside organizations.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant Program, Certified Nursing Assistant Program, Emergency Medical Technician Program, or college graduate with a science major.
  • Experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients, medical providers, and staff members.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with experience in medical software (Intergy preferred).
