Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Sentinel Emulation and Simulation team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a team of systems and software engineers, providing guidance and assigning work to support the development of an end-to-end Sentinel emulator/simulator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of systems and software engineers in the development of the Sentinel emulator/simulator
  • Collaborate closely with the DevStar architecture team, IFC requirements team, IFC leads, and STT to plan, develop, integrate, and test Weapon System emulation and simulation capabilities
  • Assess staffing needs and work with team leads to address those needs
  • Support recruitment activities, including creating requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers
  • Establish personal program and functional goals with the program software manager and technical leads
  • Perform performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates
  • Provide career development recommendations, mentoring, and discipline as necessary
  • Acquire necessary computers, equipment, and tools for team members to perform their work
  • Generate training plans based on program and team needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or 4 years with Master's or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • Minimum 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • 1+ years of experience coordinating with multiple teams and organizations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Real Time Component Framework (RTCF)
  • Experience with emulation/simulation
  • Experience with individual contributor performance assessments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks
