Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our inaugural team. As a Field Care Specialist, you will provide integrated medical services in patients' homes, working in partnership with field responders to deliver exceptional care and facilitate seamless coordination of patient care across various providers and settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct problem-focused assessments and health screenings to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment
  • Order, perform, and analyze test results to inform medical decision-making
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including IV fluids and medications, splinting, suturing, and acute wound care
  • Arrange for follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment
  • Integrate patients' goals of care into the care plan, applying palliative principles as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare agents, and referring clinicians
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines
Requirements
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Hospitalist, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or relevant areas
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in Louisiana
  • Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
