Kitchen Attendant Job Description

You'll keep the restaurant running smoothly by ensuring all equipment and supplies are clean, sanitized, and organized.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide clean, sanitized, and spot-free utensils, plate ware, glassware, and equipment
2. Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of the dish machine, trouble-shoot machine malfunctions as needed
3. Wash plate ware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans, and kitchen utensils while adhering to sanitation and cleaning procedures
4. Gather boxes and trash from kitchen and fan areas and take them to dumpster area
5. Reline cans and return them to their respective spots
6. Sweep and mop floors
7. Assist with prep duties when needed
8. Clean and sanitize throughout the shift
9. Help put away food and paper deliveries
10. Mark vendor supplied items with date received
11. Supply the line with needed items
12. Supply the bar and server stations with ice
13. Complete opening, shift change, and closing checklists found in multi-colored wall units as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks
14. Perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to write and read the English language
• Good communication skills, friendly, and people-oriented
• Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, able to multitask
• Possesses basic math skills
• Stand 100% of the shift
• Lifts and carries weights of up to 50 lbs. during shift
• Frequent bending and stooping
• Works indoors 75%, outdoors 25%
