Job Overview
A challenging role has become available at the Austin Travis County Sobriety Center for an experienced Emergency Medical Technician. As an EMT-B or Paramedic, you will play a pivotal part in our harm reduction program, providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients to ensure they meet eligibility criteria.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, EMS, and community partners for seamless admissions.
  • Provide clinical oversight of patient medical care during intake and throughout their stay.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Paramedics to facilitate inductions on MAT and alcohol withdrawal medications.
  • FOLLOW established medical protocols as outlined by the ATCEMS medical director.
  • Assist in de-escalating individuals during intake and throughout their stay.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient charts.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Texas Driver's License.
  • EMT State Certification.
  • Basic Life Support CPR Certification (American Heart Association).
  • 1 Year EMT experience preferred.
  • Bilingualism preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $55,000 to $85,000 per annum. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
