About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Colonial Oaks Retirement Community. As a member of our dietary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily functions of the Dietary Department, maintaining a clean and safe work environment for all resident meals.
  • Prepare and portion food items to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Set up meal trays and deliver meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with stock management, including putting away deliveries and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties, including washing and storing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and ensure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of safe dietary procedures and the geriatric community.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other departments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Some dietary experience preferred.
