Job Title: Window DispatcherJob Summary

MV Transportation is seeking a skilled Window Dispatcher to provide dispatch support by ensuring operators are effectively on time, paperwork is correct, and attendance is tracked properly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extra Board Management: Manage Extra Board (EB) operators to distribute work fairly and in accordance with the CBA.
  • Bus Assignment: Assign buses to the correct run, ensuring proper utilization.
  • Dispatch Log Updates: Update dispatch logs with bus assignments, absence coding, call-out comments, and operator names.
  • Dispatch Computer Updates: Ensure accurate coding in the dispatch computer for timekeeping purposes.
  • Phone and Log Management: Answer the dispatch phone, record call-offs and attendance coding, and collect paperwork from operators.
  • Shuttle Car Management: Track shuttle cars, collect DVIR sheets, and ensure lost and found items are collected and logged.
  • Radio Operator Coordination: Work with the radio operator on fill buses, swap buses, operator reliefs, and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Overtime Management: Utilize and track overtime operators according to service needs.
  • Professionalism: Remain professional and friendly at all times.
  • Operator Check-in/Check-out: Ensure operators are checked in and out at the start and end of each shift.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate payment and documentation for operators.
  • Light Duty Personnel: Ensure light duty personnel are taken to their assigned locations.
  • Open Run Filling: Fill open runs in a timely manner, either with an EB operator or an OT operator.
  • Operations Manager Support: Assist the Operations Manager with tasks, including sending operators to the Operations Manager.
  • Uniforms and Employee Functions: Ensure operators are in proper uniform attire and assist with employee functions.
Requirements
  • Talent Requirements: High School diploma, minimum two (2) years administrative management or equivalent, ability to multi-task, think strategically, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to read and enter data, attention to detail, ability to operate a business telephone, and advance knowledge of Windows-based computer operations systems.
  • Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English, and comprehend policies and procedures.

Starting pay rate: $21.50/hour
