About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maritime Operations Specialist to join our team in New York. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our ferry vessels.

About the Position

This role involves performing various tasks related to deck operations, including cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of the vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general deckhand duties, including cleaning and maintenance of the vessel
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Operate boarding doors, gates, aprons, and bridges
  • Handle gangways and mooring lines
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least two years of full-time paid experience as a deckhand on ocean, coastwise, or inland steam or motor vessels
  • Or graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate degree in marine technology, including at least one year of deck duty
Additional Information

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
