About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cambro Manufacturing Co. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting and repair skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Summary

The Machine Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical and electrical components and/or systems used in the production equipment, material handling systems, and automatic lubrication systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery and equipment, using technical manuals, diagrams, and hands-on experience.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install new pipes, hoses, valves, and manifolds, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Electrical and Electronic Work: Install, repair, and replace electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, including programmable controllers and robots.
  • Mechanical Skills: Operate cutting torches, welding equipment, and metal working tools to cut or join metal parts, and fabricate structures per drawings.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Two or four-year degree or certificate (Engineering Technology) from a college or technical school, or five to ten years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic prints or schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid California driver's license and qualifications for driving a forklift may be required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Regularly works near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles, temperature extremes, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, and wet/humid conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly lifts and/or moves 25 pounds, frequently lifts and/or moves 50 pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves 100 pounds, requires standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
