Job Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Trinity Health Of New England, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients with emergent and critical needs.

About the Role

This position is ideal for experienced nurses who possess strong critical thinking skills and are eager to work in a fast-paced environment. As an ER nurse, you will have the opportunity to pursue certification as a trauma nurse and develop your skills in managing high-acuity patients.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in didactic learning sessions to enhance your understanding of emergency department nursing, focusing on simulation-based training.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to effectively manage complex patients, prioritizing their care and making informed decisions.
  • Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, taking advantage of professional growth opportunities in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Emergency Room ER or Acute InPatient nursing.
  • BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • ACLS and TNCC: Required within three months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65-$85 per hour, depending on experience, plus additional hourly specialty pay for experienced nurses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
