Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Intake Therapist to join our team. As an Admissions Therapist Specialist, you will play a critical role in receiving, scheduling, and triaging incoming calls and referrals for patients in need of our services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the intake process, including receiving calls, obtaining demographic information, and referring calls to the appropriate source or scheduling assessments.
  • Process all requests for information and external referrals, ensuring timely responses and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Complete pre-certifications as needed, working closely with the business office staff to verify benefits and initiate admission procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Case Manager to arrange patient admissions, including alerting the business office to begin verification of benefits and initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks.
  • Determine necessary Releases of Information and process them accordingly, adhering to established policies.
  • Obtain required records and information, maintaining accurate logs and statistics for reporting purposes.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements:
  • A valid LPC, LPCA, LMSW, or LCSW license with the State of Texas.
  • Experience in behavioral health assessment and/or treatment, preferably in an acute behavioral health hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an independent role and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the capacity to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed while working efficiently under stressful conditions.
