Phlebotomy Specialist

The Synectics Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team in the Eastern Standard Time zone.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist who can provide high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare process by interacting with patients, explaining procedures, and drawing blood samples.

Your primary responsibility will be to collect blood samples from patients while maintaining a safe and professional environment. You will also perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Collect quality blood samples from patients using established practices and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections with precision and skill.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Ability to work in a high-volume setting and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Superior customer focus, communication skills, and ability to adapt to changing situations.

• Competitive salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience.
