Construction Safety Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Construction Safety Technician to support our operations department in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees. Chesapeake Containment Systems is a leading environmental services firm specializing in solid waste, power, and industrial markets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers and Field Superintendents with all safety-related tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, company, and customer safety policies and procedures on projects.
  • Conduct field safety audits and assist in the development and delivery of regulatory and company-required training.
  • Assist in conducting incident investigations and work with operations leadership and field personnel to identify potential hazards and controls.
  • Prepare and conduct weekly safety toolbox talks and collaborate with contractors and clients to address safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
  • Experience using and applying Safety Management Systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience developing regulatory compliance programs and training.
  • Experience with injury case management and return-to-work procedures.
