About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Recreation Assistant to join our team at Fort Devens. As a Recreation Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patrons in a patron usage facility. This includes circulating among patrons to ensure satisfactory service, resolving customer complaints, and providing information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.

You will also assist patrons in the use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, and planning, conducting, publicizing, and arranging support for special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Work experience involving dealing with the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
