We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Emergency Team as a Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and maintaining hospital clinical operations and patient care activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Nursing leadership and ancillary departments to ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely patient care.
  • Support fiscal management by optimizing human resources and promoting efficient use of resources.
  • Mentor and coach staff to enhance their decision-making skills and provide feedback to managers.
  • Identify patient care improvement opportunities and develop plans for implementation and monitoring.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary team approaches to improve patient outcomes and develop collaborative relationships with physicians and staff.
  • Support quality patient care and staff satisfaction by providing timely feedback and addressing patient and nursing concerns.
  • Participate in meetings and care initiatives to support the organization's quality and patient safety goals.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • BSN is required.
  • Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
  • AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
  • AHA ACLS required at hire.
  • NIHSS (Bluecloud) required within 90 days.
  • Minimum of two years Supervisory/Charge Nurse experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical RN experience in an Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
