Program Overview

Woodfords Family Services is seeking a Foster Family Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing one-on-one support to foster children in their foster home and community, focusing on daily living, social interaction, behavior management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the family unit by providing individualized support to foster children
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to promote positive relationships and behavior
  • Collaborate with the treatment team and foster families to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide guidance on daily living skills, social interaction, and behavior management

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED and relevant life experience
  • Must possess at least six months of experience working with children and/or families
  • Must have a valid State of Maine driver's license and a properly insured/dependable vehicle

Benefits

  • Starting at $18.00 per hour
  • $375 Sign-on bonus paid at 6 months of employment
