Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at RoadSafe Traffic Systems. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic at our work sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Motorists: Work with our Traffic Control Department to direct motorists away from worker activities, moving equipment, and oncoming traffic.
  • Set Up Traffic Control Devices: Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Follow all safety rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
  • Work Independently: Work independently to set up and perform flagging operations at job sites based on site plans and contractor directions.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with contractors, supervisors, and office staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers.
Requirements
  • Pass a Drug Test: Pass a drug test and hold a current Flagger certification or the ability to pass Company-sponsored Flagger Certification.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Defensive Driver Training: Successfully pass Company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.
  • Ability to Lead a Small Crew: Ability to lead a small crew and work well in a team environment.
Work Environment

Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles. Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; for up to 14 hours a day.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
