Job Title: IOP Therapist

About the Role:

The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled IOP Therapist to join our team. As an IOP Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for clients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide case management services, conduct individual and group counseling sessions, and teach educational classes as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment plans in accordance with biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM criteria
  • Document client contacts in electronic medical records system
  • Presents client cases to multidisciplinary team and obtains signatures
  • Counsels individual clients and families regarding addictions issues
  • Facilitates group counseling sessions and prepares progress notes
  • Teaches educational classes as assigned
  • Completes action sheets and peer reviews as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years direct service in substance abuse field
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard
  • ICAADA certification or obtain within 12 months
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products

Working Conditions: Work is performed in typical office environment; may require some weekend and evening work.
