Medical Transcription Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Transcription Specialist - Pathology to join our team at AHMC Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing pathology dictation using electronic dictation equipment, ensuring correct spelling of medical terms and other words, and utilizing accurate punctuation and grammar.
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe pathology dictation accurately and efficiently
- Maintain equipment and supplies properly
- Transcribe patient identification and physical identification onto all reports
- Demonstrate an ability to organize and achieve quality performance in new routines, procedures, and skills
- Communicate effectively and express ideas clearly
- Pay attention to details and maintain accurate record keeping and documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year experience in an accredited hospital clinical laboratory setting as a transcriptionist
