Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment with precision and safety. This role is crucial as it involves working with materials that require specialized handling beyond manual or traditional methods. CNC Machining Specialists are highly trained individuals who focus on accuracy and detail in their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery for various tasks including drilling, milling, and grinding.
  • Interpret technical specifications and blueprints to understand project requirements.
  • Convert instructions into machine commands to ensure correct operations.
  • Load and prepare raw materials for machining processes.
  • Conduct test runs to verify machine outputs meet specifications.
  • Manage machine cycles to produce a large volume of components.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary for optimal results.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC operator.
  • Proficient in operating CNC machinery and utilizing precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with computer programming and CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong mechanical skills and mathematical proficiency.
  • Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in engineering or a related field is advantageous.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program is required.
