We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Director and Accounting Strategist to join our team at Pinnacle Consulting Group, Inc. This is a full-time employment opportunity in Loveland, CO.

About the Job

The Financial Director and Accounting Strategist will be responsible for leading the Finance and Accounting Department, overseeing financial management, and providing strategic guidance to ensure the company's financial health and well-being.

Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in financial management or closely related experience and possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance, or a related field. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a current license is preferred.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Department Management
    • Developing, establishing, and ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures related to client services and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinating and communicating with the Assistant Director to ensure alignment with the Director's and company leadership.
    • Overseeing staff performance, including communication of performance issues and documentation where required.
    • Anticipating operating challenges and situations to provide proactive solutions.
    • Researching and recommending strategies to enhance systems, tools, and resources for overall client services.
    • Providing annual department budget and overseeing throughout the budget year.
  • Supervise Department Personnel
    • Demonstrating company culture and values in a leadership role.
    • Directing staff activity, preparing department budget allocations, and assigning workload.
    • Overseeing staff development through clear and consistent communication, determining position responsibilities, and participating in performance evaluations.
    • Holding staff accountable to department and employee policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring staff has appropriate and sufficient resources.
    • Responsible for scheduling and coordination of team members, including special working arrangements and client coverage during staff PTO.
  • Client Relations
    • Evaluating and managing overall client expectations and satisfaction of department services.
    • Overseeing client budgets and holding staff accountable for under/over budget amounts.
    • Providing department contract addendums and coordinating to ensure all contracts and addendums are accounted for and executed.

This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation and be able to inspire and motivate others to perform well.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a current license preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in financial management or closely related experience.
  • Experience in the operation of special districts, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting beneficial.

We offer a competitive salary of $110,000-$135,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
