About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician I to join our team at 1440 Multiversity. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry work, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of skilled duties, including installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of building and campus infrastructure. This may involve painting, carpentry, and masonry work, inspecting buildings and other structures, performing electrical maintenance, and reconfiguring modular offices and space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Paints, repairs, and maintains various surfaces, fixtures, and equipment throughout the campus.
  • Inspects buildings and other structures to identify malfunctions and needed repairs.
  • Performs electrical maintenance tasks, including replacement or repair of fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components.
  • Conducts plumbing maintenance activities, such as replacing or repairing leaks in drains and faucets.
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions, and re-mounts modular offices and space to accommodate user needs.
  • Monitors and cares for Infinity Tub and completes documents in work order system.
  • Cares for and organizes tools, supplies, and storerooms.
  • Completes other special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with ability to prioritize jobs and requests given.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to learn new hand and power tools.
  • Strong orientation to 1440's mission, vision, and values.
  • Work in an open office concept workspace.
  • Ability to use Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels and involves walking uneven and elevated terrain for extended periods. May encounter wildlife, insects, and plant life that could cause allergic reactions.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
