We're seeking a detail-oriented and organized paralegal to join our team at Alan Fowler Law, PLLC.

The ideal candidate will have experience drafting legal documents, preparing motions, and reviewing discovery. They will also be responsible for coordinating with process servers, aiding lawyers in trial preparation, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
  • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
  • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
  • Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews

Qualifications:

  • Talented communicator and writer
  • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
  • 3 years of experience under the supervision of a Florida criminal defense lawyer or lawyer in a law firm setting

Compensation: $48,000
