We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Compassionate Resident Support Specialist to join our team

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $42,500 - $60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Overview

In this role, you will provide personalized support and care to our residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences. Your duties may include:
  • Providing assistance with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Engaging residents in conversations, activities, and social events to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
  • Responding promptly to resident needs and requests, and coordinating with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Assisting with meal preparation and serving, as well as maintaining a clean and safe dining environment
  • Supporting residents in participating in scheduled activities and outings, and helping them prepare for these events
  • Maintaining a clean and organized living environment, including resident rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces
  • Assisting with resident laundry and other household tasks as needed

Key Responsibilities

As a Compassionate Resident Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to understand their needs and concerns
  • Collaborating with colleagues to coordinate care delivery and ensure resident safety and well-being
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with older adults in a residential or long-term care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
