Job Description

Job Summary: Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, FL. As a key member of our IT Solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge IT systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the overall IT technical baseline and system design, including delivery to the customer.
  • Interface with project managers, architects, technical specialists, and customers regularly.
  • Communicate both written and verbal with a technical team and a customer team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate.

Requirements:

  • Must have an active DOD Secret or higher security clearance or Active within the last 24 months and must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience in the System Engineering role providing written and oral presentations to customers, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrate strong foundational expertise in Information Technologies with subject matter expertise in one of the following areas: Virtualization, Data Center designs and solutions, Data Center Backup overall design, Software as a service, Cloud technologies.

Education and Experience:

  • Basic Qualifications for level 3: 5 years of IT Project Management, System Engineering or related IT experience with a BS degree in a STEM or Business focused discipline; also acceptable is 3 years or experience with a related Masters; or 0 years with PHD.
  • Basic Qualifications for level 4: 9 years of IT Project Management, System Engineering or related IT experience with a Bachelors degree in a STEM or Business focused discipline; also acceptable is 7 years or experience with a related Masters; or 4 years with PHD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: Excellent communication skills, including good customer relationship management. Ability to work well in a team environment, including strong leadership / team building skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.

Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000
