Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve police reports and process citations
  • Assist with criminal background checks and the Georgia Open Records Act
  • Disperse information to police personnel and citizens
  • Enter and retrieve information on the in-house computer system
  • Work closely with various units and divisions in the City to support administrative, investigative, and operational functions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years' experience in a clerical or customer service position
  • Ability to pass the Georgia Crime Information Center certification test
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to maintain organized and accurate records, files, and other materials

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Office Technology, or a related area from an accredited college
  • Five (5) years law enforcement/administrative experience
  • Knowledge of Georgia Open Records Act or FOIA requests
  • GCIC operator certification
  • Notary Public designation or ability to obtain
