Job Summary

The Lactation Consultant I provides clinical care and education to breastfeeding mothers and their babies, as well as consultative support to nursing and medical staff and community breastfeeding support groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care and education to breastfeeding mothers and their babies
  • Offer consultative support and education to nursing and medical staff
  • Support community breastfeeding support groups

Requirements

  • 2 years of clinical experience in breastfeeding
  • Education in teaching and facilitation of learning
  • Graduate nursing degree or equivalent
  • Registered Nurse licensure
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant certification within 1 year of hire

Work Schedule

Weekend nights, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; every weekend; as needed
