Job Summary

Pillar Innovations, a leading industrial solutions and service company, is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As an Electrical Specialist, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various industrial facilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including low and high voltage applications, in industrial facilities.
  • Lead and mentor entry-level electricians, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
  • Work with a wide range of electrical components, including motor control centers, transformers, instrumentation, switch gears, and PLC controls.
  • Run conduit and cable trays to electrical devices, and pull wire to termination boxes, panels, and other controllers.
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment, and perform tasks that require physical labor.
  • Read and follow electrical code, manuals, wiring and circuitry diagrams, blueprints, and other electrical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues, systems, and components independently with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Drive ground rods and install grounding grids, and utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment pertinent to the electrical trade.
  • Assess jobs to determine material, tool, and equipment needs, and communicate and coordinate with customers to ensure successful job completion.
  • Lead smaller jobs as required, and assist with paperwork and documentation for accurate record keeping.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of electrical experience or equivalent/relevant education preferred.
  • Experience in industrial electrical preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Possess a Journeyman License (WV preferred) and required to obtain WV Journeyman License within 6 months from hire.
  • Possess basic knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical theory, and AC and DC circuits.
  • Ability to utilize tools and diagnostic devices relevant to the electrical trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuitry, and schematics.
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well with others and act in a respectful manner towards co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements.
  • Possess an aptitude for leadership and customer service.

Working Conditions
  • Sit, talk, hear, read, and write.
  • Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Kneel, stoop, bend, squat, and climb a ladder.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work at heights up to 60ft for extended periods of time.
  • Work in confined spaces.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. In accordance with The Company's Drug and Alcohol policy, employees are required to participate in random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.
