Job Overview

As a key member of our team at WWC Engineering, the Engineering Intern will provide support to our engineers, surveyors, and other technical staff on a variety of projects. This role involves assisting with engineering design, environmental compliance, surveying, and technical writing, as well as performing administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers and surveyors with daily tasks and projects as needed
  • Conduct preliminary designs and calculations under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Research and summarize design concepts, regulations, and other requested information
  • Prepare documentation of work completed and report to the Project Manager
  • Collect and analyze field data, including survey, soil, and water sampling, field notes, and photo documentation
  • Assist in the development of design and technical reports to support project completion
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of engineering and/or surveying concepts, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations and needs.

Physical Demands
  • The physical demands of this position include regular talking and hearing, frequent use of hands and fingers, and occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus

This position may involve some travel using WWC vehicles, and you will need to have a valid driver's license and be able to be covered by our vehicle insurance. You will also be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
