Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team at Shady Grove Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care at the bedside.
Document patient care and outcomes electronically.
Delegate tasks to non-licensed personnel as needed.
Serve as a preceptor or mentor for new staff, externs, or students.
Participate in unit quality initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
1 year of experience in a relevant clinical area.
Current Maryland State nursing license.
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as required by specialty area.
Certification in specialty once qualified.
Work Schedule:
This is a 36 hours per week per diem position, not eligible for benefits. Requirements include three 12 hours shifts per week with weekends and holiday schedule commitment.
